Padded watch strap in Black Horween Dublin leather.  The strap is approximately 7mm thick at the lugs tapering to 3mm.
 
This leather is produced by the Horween Leather Company which was founded in 1905 in Chicago, Illinois.  In 1920 they moved to their current premises on the banks of the Chicago River where they specialise in Vegetable Tanned cowhide and produce over 120,000 sqft of leather per week. Horween provide leather for many American Sporting goods suppliers including Rawlings Baseball Gloves, Wilson footballs and Spalding Basketballs.  It is one of less than a dozen tanneries that still operate in the United States.
 
Horween Dublin is 100% Vegetable Tanned full grain leather with a waxy, buttery soft temper and a strong 'pull up'.  Due to the oil content this leather ages beautifully over time.
 
The strap pictured is a 24mm/20mm tapered strap with hand burnished edges and hand stitched at 2.5 stitches per cm in Black. Fitted with a buckle flap, 16mm plain free keeper and a polished thumbnail buckle.
