Field Notes cover in Walpier Buttero Foresta leather.  The cover is approximately 12mm thick at the thickest part and measures 100mm x 153mm.  This cover is sized to accept the readily available Moleskine Cahiers field note journal refill (90mm x 140mm).  A refill will be included with your purchase.
 
This leather is produced by Conceria Walpier a tannery based in the Tuscany region of Italy.  The tannery was founded in 1973 by the current owners father after a long personal experience in the tanning sector.  All the leathers produced are 100% vegetable tanned cow or bull hides.
 
The world famous ‘Buttero’ is a 100% pure vegetable tanned leather produced on full grain shoulders. Buttero has a smooth surface that will patina over time, ageing gracefully throughout its life.
 
The cover pictured has two standard sized credit card slots and a full length slot for reciepts etc. in a contrasting mid brown russian hatch leather. The cover is stitched at 2.5 stitches per cm in Cream (C2). The edges are dyed black and hand burnished.
