Flat watch strap with in Badalassi Carlo Wax Oliva leather.  The strap is approximately 4.5mm thick throughout.
 
This leather is produced by the world famous Badalassi Carlo tannery in the Tuscany region of Italy. Wax is a 100% pure vegetable tanned leather.  The leather is tanned in a wooden drum using oils and animal fats, through dyed and polished with a roll of amber stone.  The wax is added during the tannage process to provide a distinct pull-up effect.  The tanning tradition for this article is centuries old. 
 
The strap pictured is a 24mm parallel strap with black dyed and hand burnished edges and hand stitched at 4 stitches per cm in Green (G3). The strap has been slightly 'Distressed' and is fitted with a 18mm logo free keeper and the manufacturer's buckle.
